Looking for realistic CRO emergency refreshers

Ran a 03:15 blackout/ESD-2 drill last week and the alarm flood buried the console in under 90 seconds; we stabilized, but comms lagged and handover notes weren’t clean… I’m due for refreshers and want OPITO MEM/CROER or ISA 18.2–aligned sims that sharpen alarm triage and emergency comms from the panel. What courses or providers have moved the needle on response times in your control rooms?

When we switched to scenario-based simulations, it really helped us hone in on emergency comms from the panel. One drill we did emphasized clear roles during high-pressure alarms, which significantly improved response times. Have you considered reaching out to a local provider for tailored scenarios?

I totally get where you’re coming from; real-time drills can get chaotic. During our last ESD drill, we found using a simple communications checklist really helped streamline our handover notes. It’s all about clarity under pressure — have you tried implementing something like that in your drills?
