Shift handover template that actually works

I’m standardizing shift handovers across crews; despite structured toolbox talks, we’re still losing context at 0600/1800. Looking for a concise, field-tested 1-page template that locks in well state, barrier status, open permits, and critical equipment issues — bonus if it’s proven on MPD or HPHT campaigns and keeps drillers and maintenance aligned.

On MPD/HPHT, our 1-pager adds ‘last 12h changes’ and RAG barriers; keep permits separate.

We killed the 0600 drift by making the first line a mandatory MPD snapshot — mode plus SPP/flow/choke DP at handover — with outgoing and incoming initials; > “keep permits separate” — we only reference the permit IDs and owners on the header. Small caveat: it only sticks if you force a 10‑min overlap to confirm the numbers; want the exact header text?
